The Card Says: Clairaudient means clear hearing. These messages may sound like a whispering in your ear or the sound of your voice inside your head. It may be a memory of a conversation or something you heard on the radio or TV. What messages are you hearing regarding this situation.

My Comment: I started this blog - drawing one of my KISS (Keep It Simple Sweetheart) Oracle Cards each day in August 2009. There are only 44 cards in the deck, and I made well over 200 drawings. I kept hearing the message that it was time to move on, so it is not surprising that this is the card I drew for my last card. I've enjoyed drawing a daily card, and hopefully showing my readers the different ways cards can be interpreted. I hope you've enjoyed the process as much as I have.

I'm going to take some time to just enjoy being a grandma now. I'm making no outside commitments except to just be free to be me. I am a writer by nature. Wednesday May 19th - Scientific Prayers

The Card Says: Use affirmative prayer to achieve your desires. The simple formula is:

Affirm your relationship with the Creator.

Acknowledge the Unity in all things.

State the desire.

Release control of the outcome.

Give thanks in advance and affirm that it is done.

Today's Comment: There is no right or wrong way to pray. Sometimes the very simple prayers like "Help" are the most powerful. I'm working on an acronym from the word "pray". So far I have:

P - Pause for a moment and get centered.
R - Release any fear concerning the situation.

A - Ask for help or guidance.
Y - I still need a Y word - yes, yearn, yield, I know there is one out there.......Help!

Tuesday May 18th - Call On Your Angels For Assistance

The Card Says: Your Angels are just waiting to help you, but you must ask for their help. Your Guardian Angels are with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just ask for their help and then be open to the unlimited possibilities.

Today's Comment: One of the questions any intuitive angel reader receives regularly from clients is "Who are my angels" or "What is my angel's name?" My reply was often, "Do you believe in angels?" The response was usually "Yes". My next question would be, "Do you believe your angel or angels are always with you?" and again, the answer would usually be "Yes". Final question then is "Are your angels with you whether or not you know their names?" and often there would be a pause, and then a "Yes".

So why is it so important to us to know the names of our angels? Is it just a way to connect on a more intimate level? I don't know. Would it surprise you to know that I have never asked my angels for their names? I know they are there, and really that is all that matters to me. And trust me, I call on them often for help and they always respond.

If knowing the names of your angels is important to you, by all means, ask. Just close your eyes, ask for their names, and trust what you get. If knowing the names of your angels is not important to you, then be good with that and don't feel weird about it. It's all good.

Monday May 17th - Believe In Yourself

The Card Says: You are a divine child of God. Know that you are capable of anything you put your mind to. Trust in your instincts and just go for it.

Today's Comment: When I drew this card, the song 'Do You Believe In Magic' came to mind. There is a line in that song that says "Believe in the magic that can set you free". And do you know what that magic is? It is believing in yourself. What you can conceive, what you can believe, you can achieve. You are truly capable of anything you put your mind to!

Sunday May 16th - Be Clear About Your Desires

The Card Says: It is important for you to be clear about what you want in life. If there is uncertainty, the Law of Attraction is delayed.

Today's Comment: This week as I have been doing my Four Be's To Abundance exercise (see http://www.betsymbrown.com/get_4Bs.html for details), I added Winning Lottery Ticket to my manifestation list. This week, I won $2. I spent $20 on tickets each week. Tomorrow when I write out my list of things to manifest I will be more clear. Lottery ticket winnings this week greater than $20. Being clear about my expectations and desires. I love to gamble, and I don't have to win a lot to tap into the emotion of abundance when I win. Common sense tells me though that it is more fun to win more than you spend, rather than visa versa. I am open to the unlimited possibilities of winning ticket combinations this week!

Does It Make Your Heart Sing?

The Card Says: Are you working on a project or dealing with a situation that doesn't bring you joy? If so, it is time for a change. Find your bliss.

Today's Comment: I had lunch with a friend from out of state yesterday. We had met when I held a previous job, and she asked me what I was doing now. I replied 'Nothing, really." I was explaining about doing some writing and watching the grandkids, yet I knew something was wrong - or really that something was missing. I really didn't give it much thought right then as we had so much to catch up on and so little time to spend together. However, the thought continued to rumble around in my brain. What did I think I 'should' be doing?

Whenever that question pops into my head, I always remember that my primary goal is to be happy. So I start in with a list of what makes me happy and what doesn't. As a rule, I don't like to focus on what I don't like, but knowing that information can help me solve this dilema.

I won't bore you with my whole process, and my list of likes and don't likes, but I will share that when you start working to solve your personal puzzle, all you need to do is ask for help (from God/Divine Source, angels, ascended masters, spirit guides - whomever you work with) and use happiness as your barometer.

I woke up this morning thinking I'd like to be a recluse. For a Gemini, that's funny. I enjoy people, I enjoy talking, I enjoy writing, I enjoy communicating in any form. So I got to thinking what was the pleasure in being a recluse? No responsibilities. Spending the day in whatever way I wanted.   Having to accomplish nothing except that which I desire to.

Realistically, I'm not going to be a recluse, but I am going to take that insight and apply it to my situation. Each day, I will focus on what makes my heart sing in the moment. Who knows what the day will bring. There will be no agenda, just happiness and freedom to be.

And if I needed confirmation, I got it this morning. In my email was a message from Karen Bishop (http://www.emergingearthangels.com/) with her newest Wings article.   She was talking about a similar topic and making changes. Then, I was reading The Voice of Knowledge by don Miguel Ruiz, and came upon this passage:

"You can create your life in a big way if this is what you want.  But the goal is not to save the world. No, the only mission that you have in life is to make yourself happy.  That's it. It's that simple."

As you go about your day, take some take to ask yourself, "Does this make my heart sing?" If the answer is no, then you know it is time to make some changes. Ask for help from your spiritual guides, spend some time in meditation, make a few lists, talk it out with your Higher Self, and don't worry - be happy!

Friday May 14th - Power Animals

The Card Says: Animal spirit guides are here for you. Call on their energies to assist you at this time.

Today's Comment: The other day as I was driving along the highway, I spotted 3 eagles sitting in a tree. This was unusual for me as often times I'm the one saying, "Where, where?" when my husband spots a deer or elk or other wild life.

Eagle is said to represent the ability to rise about the chaos and communicate with Spirit, and then easily fly back to the 3rd dimension to put the knowledge to use. Eagle teaches us to spread our wings and reach for our highest goals. It was especially interesting to me as Eagle appeared on a day when I was feeling discouraged about life and what appeared to be a lack of schedule and routine, under which I work best. Eagle was telling me to rise about what I thought was chaos, take some time to breath and to listen to Spirit.

Thursday May 13th - Unconditional Forgiveness

The Card Says: Unconditional forgiveness is not about condoning actions. It is about reclaiming your control over "your" reactions to any given situation. Unconditional forgiveness is about turning your back on fear, anger, lack and/or limitation, and acknowledging that only divine pure love is true.

Today's Comment: Other than the Peace card, this card is drawn more often than any other card. I think that is a clear hint about how we can best go about creating our own heaven on earth. As I have said before, unconditional forgiveness is about forgiving yourself for not seeing the perfection in all things and situations.

There is an exercise in Shatki Gawain's book, Creative Visualization, where you are asked to list everyone who has ever done or said anything to you that hurt your feelings or harmed/mistreated you. You then proceed to visualize the person, and have a conversation about the incident. You explain how you feel and that you now want to work toward unconditional forgiveness in what transpired between the two of you.

One of the eye openers for me was to realize that I was harboring hurts from silly little incidents that occurred in grade school. Really? Why was I upset about some kid making fun of my glasses? That was decades ago, and here I was still feeling angry about it. I have forgotten the kid's name, but not the action, or rather not MY reaction to the comment.

How much of our daily energy is used up in being angry over things that we cannot change? We all spend time re-hashing conversations, eventually finding that perfect come-back line that would have been a real jab at the other person. But to what end? We can't change what happened. We can only change how we react in this moment.

Practice unconditional forgiveness for yourself. You deserve to see your perfection now!

Wednesday May 12th - There Is A Divine Plan At Work Here

The Card Says: Quit looking at the situation from a fear based position. Avoid a lack or limitation mentality. Trust that the Creator and the Angels are with you, and that there is a divine plan at work which is perfect just for you.

Today's Comment: Yes, I'm sure there is. But........ - fill in your own gripe here. We all have them. Intellectually we can grasp the idea that there is a divine plan, but how do we maintain the faith that everything will work out and we will be fine. Face it, ultimately, that is our concern. Everyone wants to be happy. Everyone wants to have their needs provided for. Everyone wants to be loved. Is that the Divine Plan? God's Mission Statement - that everyone know only Love? Okay, God - show me how!

And of course, when I need it, an answer pops into my head......."Begin by loving yourself" Be love, know love, show love - apparently that is the divine plan at work here. Time to get started!

Tuesday May 11th - Does It Make Your Heart Sing?

Today's Comment: Yesterday on Oprah, it a celebrity hook-up day. This is where Oprah and her staff arrange for people to meet their favorite celebrities. Justin Timberlake was on the show, and shared winning a Grammy or having a number of gold albums paled in comparison to having just one fan tell him that his music helped that fan get through a rough time, etc.

Are you doing work (either as a career or avocation) that makes you feel the same way? Does helping just one person make it all worth it? If you are unhappy in what you are doing, try looking for the joy and bliss in helping another in the scope of your work. Maybe your heart is singing and you just didn't recognize the tune.

Monday May 10th - Be Clear About Your Desires

The Card Says: It is important for you to be clear about what you want in life. If there is uncertainty, the Law Of Attraction is delayed.

Today's Comment: If you signed up for the free Four Be's To Abundance report, you know that Be Clear is one of those principles. In each 22 day cycle of this exercise, I am writing out my desires. As I go back and review what I have written, I've noticed that there are a few items that are constant. For instance, I'm very clear about wanting a piece of property with an unobstructed sunrise view. I'm very clear about the home, office, and garage that I want on that property. Today, I had the realization one of the things that I really, really want is to be debt free. More than I want to cruise the Greek Isles, visit my friends in Mexico, own the perfect pair of jeans, or have a week at a spa, I want to be totally debt free.

But wait - a few years ago, I set my strong intentions on losing weight. And that is how I phrased it in my manifestation list. To lose 30 pounds. And I accomplished that. Unfortunately, I accomplished it by developing a thyroid condition that had other less pleasant side effects, but I did lose the 30 pounds at that time. In the long run, I gained it all back plus some. I realized that what I really wanted was to manifest a 30 pound weight loss in a healthy and permanent manner.

Now I want to be debt free, but I don't want to acheive that goal by filing bankruptcy or not being able to pay my mortgage and therefore having to sell the house. Becoming really clear about this, what I really want is to own my home free and clear.

Be clear about your desires. I'm telling the Universe that I want to own my home free and clear. I'm not telling the Universe how that needs to be accomplished. I'm open to the unlimited possibilities - a winning lottery ticket, an unexpected gift from Bill Gates, a publishing contract, paying off the mortgage in regular payments or whatever. I'm not picky at all. But I am clear.

Sunday May 9th - Use Your Clairsentient Skills

The Card Says: Clairsentient means clear feeling. Everyone has a "gut" feeling from time to time. Clairsentient messages come as your inner feelings and through your sense of touch, smell and taste. What are you feeling or perceiving about this situation?

Today's Comment: Is there a stronger clairsentient feeling that the feeling of a mother's love? Today is Mother's Day. The origins of the celebration date back to ancient Greece, honoring Rhea, the Mother of the Gods. In the 1600s, in England, the focus of the celebration switched to honoring Mother Mary. The holiday later expanded to honor all mothers and was called Mothering Sunday. With the colonists settling in the New World (what is now the United States), the tradition of Mothering Sunday was discontinued. However, in 1870, a woman named Julia Ward Howe who was horrified by the death and destruction of the Civil War, wrote a speech on peace which she delivered at international peace conferences in London and Paris. She continued her appeal for peace every year, and eventually founded Mother's Peace Day, as a call to unite women against war.

Mother's Day as we celebrate it now was established by a woman named Anna Jarvis, in honor of her mother, Ann Marie Reeves Jarvis. Miss Jarvis' mother had organized women throughout the Civil War to help improve sanitary conditions on both sides. She formed Mothers Friendship Clubs and through these clubs taught nursing and sanitation, which she had learned from her brother, a doctor.

After the death of Ann Marie Jarvis, her daughter Anna dedicated her life to her mother's cause and established a National Mothers Day, to honor all mothers, living and dead. Through her efforts, in 1914, the 2nd Sunday in May was designated by Presidential Proclamation to be Mother's Day.

Whether or not you are a female, having given birth to a child or not, within you is the capacity to clearly feel the emotions, intuition and love of the Divine Feminine. Today, spread the love, through thought, word and deed. Use your clairsentient skills in honor of the Divine Feminine.

Today's Comment: As many of you know, I have two new grandsons. Odin is 10 weeks old, and Alex is 2 weeks old. I get to see both of them today, and I am very grateful for that. If I can teach them anything at all, it would be to believe in themselves. My parents taught me that. I hope I taught my kids that, and I hope I can help teach my grandkids that, too.

We are each born as perfect children of God. Living life does not change that. We each come with a mission. Whether that mission is global, local, or personal, big or small, one mission or more, it does not matter. Each mission is perfect for us.

How do we know about our mission? Your mission will be tied into things you like and enjoy. Follow those leads and believe in yourself!

Today's Comment: When you use oracle cards, sometimes the message is not in the words themselves. It can be in the pictures (if the cards you use have pictures). The message can also be in the emotions you feel when you read the message - even if the message itself does not apply. This is the case today. When I read the card - Does It Make Your Heart Sing - my immediate impression was "Of course, it's Friday. The sun is out. It's Mother's Day Weekend, and you will see the kids and grandkids. What's not to sing about?"

If your heart is not singing today, try adjusting your attitude of gratitude. Soon you'll be belting out the tunes!

Thursday May 6th - Clear Third Eye Chakra Issues

The Card Says: Resolve fears concerning your spiritual vision, intuition and the ability to see any situation clearly.

Today's Comment: If you get something in your physical eye, a common treatment is a water flush or eye bath. The same can be used, in meditation, for clearing out any debris from your third eye. Get comfortable, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Imagine a gentle warm water bath, just clearing away any false debris from the lens of your third eye. The process refreshes the eye and brings back the lubrication so that your third eye may easily and effortlessly blink away anything that hampers your intuitive vision.

Do the above exercise while you relax comfortable in a nice hot bath with a few drops of essential oil such as clary sage or rosewood, both of which will help with clarity of your spiritual vision.

Wednesday May 5th - View The Situation From A Higher Perspective

The Card Says: You are looking at the situation from a limited third dimensional perspective. Open your mind to the unlimited possibilities. Explore what is for the highest good of all involved.

Today's Comment: We've all seen movies or TV shows where there is a scene of someone lost in the wilderness. Helicopters and spotter planes are used to help locate the missing person. They are viewing the situation from a higher perspective so that the whole picture can be seen.

In a play, there is usually a star. But the star is not on stage alone. There is a supporting case. It is the entire cast of characters that makes the play interesting. They must interact with each other and converse with each other. They must deal with the situations they find themselves in. You may come to see the play because of the star, but usually the audience wants to see the play from the higher perspective; how each character and their actions effect the entire story.

Each of us is the star of our own play. Every day we must interact with our supporting cast. How we work with each other is the plot of our play. If you get stuck in a scene where the story is slow, or the outcome seems horrible to your role, view the situation from a higher perspective. How does what you do, what you say, even what you think, effect the ending of that scene? Be open to the unlimited possibilities, because ultimately you are the writer, director and star of your play.

Tuesday May 4th - Pay Attention To Your Thoughts

The Card Says: Thoughts have creative energy. Be sure you are thinking about what you "do" want, not what you don't want. Should you notice your thoughts have wandered to a fear based position, just "cancel-clear-delete" them, and redirect your focus.

Today's Comment: I grew up with a father that was a 'worst case scenario' type of guy, but he was always optimistic about that worse case. No matter what the problem, there was always an answer. My mom was just the opposite. She was of the opinion that why would one go looking for trouble or something to fret about. She was more apt to say go about your business, do the best you can, and use the common sense God gave you. Was one way of thinking better than the other. I don't think so. In the end, they both knew that worrying did no good, and in fact made things worse.

Worrying is a way a habit. It is using our creative energy to create not so pleasant things. Pay attention to your thoughts. Create your own feel good kind of movie, not a scary horror flick.

Monday May 3rd - Clear Solar Plexus Chakra Issues

The Card Says: Clear energies affecting your self-esteem, self empowerment or sense of worth.

Today's Comment: I'm having one of those days when I wonder if what I do or write is helpful at all. And then I log on to facebook and notice the 3 people have dropped from their participation in this page. Ego is chattering on about how I only post 1 or 2 things a day from this page, and is that too much or not enough? Did I offend someone with something I wrote? Is what I write too obvious or too obtuse? On and on Ego goes, and I listen, I question, I doubt. But eventually the lovely voice of Glinda the Good Witch whispers in my ear, one of my favorite lines from the Wizard of Oz, "You have no power here. Be gone!"

We all have those days of self doubt and ego based self examination. When those days show up, spend a moment clearing your solar plexus. Imagine the spinning vortex, shimmering in a brilliant bright yellow. Wear a piece of citrine jewely, or carry a piece of tiger's eye in your pocket. Call on Archangel Michael and Archangel Uriel to pick you up, dust you off, pat you on the back, and remind you that you are perfect just the way you are!

Saturday May 1st - Use Your Clairvoyant Skills

The Card Says: Clairvoyant means clear seeing. Make use of your God given ability to see clairvoyantly. Your psychic vision may appear as a picture or a movie inside your head, three dimensionally outside your head or as a visual memory. What do you see or perceive with your third eye?

Today's Comment: One can be clairvoyant, and see images clearly, but it is the interpretation of the meaning of the vision that makes the skill useful.

We have a "plant" growing in our yard. I see it as a weed and would like to yank it out, replacing it with something that has a pretty flower/bloom. My husband s like the way it looks - the color, the texture, and how it is different from the other plants around it. We both clearly see it, but we see it differently.

When using your clairvoyance in a reading, you are filtering the visions through your emotions to determine the meaning of that vision. When you are working with a client, you must filter through your client's emotional insight as well, working together to get the accurate interpretation of the clairvoyant vision.

KISS Card for Friday April 30th - Clear Root Chakra Issues

Today's Comment: Everyone wants to have their basic needs met. We all want shelter, food and the ability to pay our bills. That is what my friend, coach and mentor, Evie Kane (http://www.eviekane.com/) calls the BAM - the bare ass minimum. Today, stimulate that root chakra a bit, and dare to dream a little bigger. What would it feel like to be independently wealthy? What would your dream house look like? What big ticket item would you like to attract into your life? Dare to dream big, I double dog dare you!

Thursday April 29th - Believe In Yourself

Today's Comment: I had a deck of KISS Cards I had been using for a long time. Some of the cards were nicked or bent, so I treated myself to a new deck to use. When I release an old deck of oracle cards, I usually pick out one or two cards that are meaningful or inspiring to me, and I have them tacked up in spots I see frequently throughout the day, or I use them for bookmarks. From the KISS Deck I released, I pulled out this card, and I have it sitting on my desk where I can see it while I write.

Like most everyone, I occasionally have a moment where I wonder if what I am writing or doing is of help to anyone. In my heart, I know this is what I am to be doing - writing. It gives me such joy and pleasure, and I know God and the angels are working through me because when I read some of the things I have written, it is clear to me that it did not come from me, but was indeed channeled from Divine Source.

You have to believe in yourself so that you have the courage to allow God to work through you. God's work is divine and therefore your work is also divine. Believe In Yourself - I do!

Wednesday April 28th - Trust Your Intuition

The Card Says: Pay attention to the information coming to you through visions, thoughts, words and feelings. Disregard any ego messages that may try to tell you that you are "making this up". You aren't. Trust what you get!

Today's Comment: Today my mind is on food. I am the queen of diet (or should I say in honor of Richard Simmons, live-it) plans. Over the years, I've been told by consultants, doctors, intuitives to eat this, but not eat that. I've read in books what is good for my body type from blood type to body shape to Ayurveda. I've read about food combining or eating only protein. Drink coffee, don't drink coffee. Have a glass of wine, no don't because liquor hurts your psychic abilities. And so on, and so on, and so on, ad naseum.

What has come from all this? Mostly confusion from friends and family about what I eat or don't eat. It certainly hasn't contributed to any weight loss, which honestly is my main goal. Healthy weight loss that is. The thing I have learned is that no one knows my body better than me. When I crave something, I tune into my feelings and emotions. Does eating this food make me feel happy or sad. Happy - well, there is something in the nutrients of that food that my body needs. Sad - I'm filling an emotional need.

If you struggle with your weight or eating habits, use your intuition to determine what plan or foods your body needs. Listen to suggestions from others if you want, but make the final determination your own. Trust your intuition. It will always serve you best.

Today's Comment: Clear hearing applies not only to intuitive messages you receive when asking for guidance for yourself or a client, but it also applies to daily conversation. Real listening takes work. The meanings of the words I use may not be the same for you as they are for me. It became a family joke when my mother and I would talk. We would think we were being perfectly clear with each other, but find out later that one or the other had put a different spin on the words the other had used. I tend to be quite literal and my mother would look for hidden meanings in everything I said. Occasionally, feelings would get hurt and the relationship would be challenged.

I learned from that relationship that it does pay to be extremely clear with one another. For instance, the phrase "I'll get back to you with an answer in just a bit" - to me, that meant within 30 minutes. I found out once that to a co-worker that meant within 24 hours. I had a project to organize for that afternoon, and waiting 24 hours wasn't going to work for me. My mother, who had already transitioned from this lifetime, spoke very quietly in my ear, "What is just a bit?" - I listened to her, and called my co-worker back to explain my time-frame.

Today's card asks us to clearly listen and understand our conversations today - whether those conversations are "in real life" or intuitive ones.

Monday April 26th - Use Affirmations

Today's Comment: I remember as a kid, when my parents perceived that I had done something 'wrong', I was made to apologize. It used to annoy me that I had to apologize for something that I wasn't sorry about. I wasn't sorry that my friend's dress was ugly - it was. I was sorry that I got in trouble for saying so. I didn't like lying, so I found a way to form an apology that would appear my parents but that was also true to me. In this case, I would use something like, "I'm sorry I hurt your feelings" or "I'm sorry I said the dress was ugly" - I felt I was being true to my thoughts. The dress was ugly, but I was sorry I was in trouble, and I was sorry the girl was upset.

How does this relate to affirmations? Saying an affirmation that you can't believe isn't very helpful. It's important to find/create affirmations that you can connect with. Maybe saying, "I am rich beyond my wildest dreams," is too much for you to really believe (right now). Try rephrasing it to something that does connect with you. For instance, "I am able to imagine being wealthy." Soon, you may follow with "Whatever I can conceive, I can achieve." And before long, you will feel rich beyond your wildest dreams.

I know, I know, I can dream pretty darn big too. However, taking one step at a time, being grounded and clear in that first belief, will build the foundation for the bigger dreams and imaginings.

The Card Says: Claircognizant means clear knowing. These messages are "downloaded" through your crown chakra. Suddenly, you have information about the situation without really knowing how. Simply, it is a form of thought transference. What do you intuitively know about the situation.

Today's Comment: I have been reading The Voice Of Knowledge by don Miguel Ruiz. In the book, Ruiz writes, "You don't need internal dialogue; you can know without thinking." This is claircognizance. This is also faith. You know what you know. You believe what you believe. Trust what you get - whether or not you can put words, visions or feelings behind it. Claircognizance is the strongest clair because it is a matter of faith, and one can't argue with faith.

Grandbaby #2 arrived on Friday morning, just as my son and daughter-in-law were in the middle of moving back into their condo after having their floors refinished. Today's Comment: As a writer, I'm very familiar with edits and rewrites. Some days, I am way too familiar. We all get frustrated when things do not go smoothly at the final stages of putting together a project. Sometimes this card comes up when it is time for a complete change. Sometimes it comes up when it is time to set the project aside for a bit. Take a break and then return to it when you have renewed your passion in regards to the situation. Putting less than desirable energy into a project can make it pitchy (thank you Randy Jackson). Instead, put some time into finding your bliss and then WOW us!

Thursday April 22nd - Clear Third Eye Chakra Issues

The Card Says: Resolve fears concerning your spiritual vision, intuition and the ability to see any situation clearly.

Today's Comment: We all have a 3rd eye chakra, an energy center for spiritual vision. Sometimes that vision takes the form of precognition. Sometimes it takes the form of the ability to see angels and other beings that vibrate at a different speed than humans. Sometimes it takes the form of flashing pictures from someone's story board (life). Sometimes the visions are fuzzy; sometimes they are crystal clear; sometimes the eyelid is closed and there is nothing to see.

The 3rd eye is like a muscle - it will atrophy if you don't use it, but it can strain from over-use as well. The treatment is the same for both. A little nurturing goes a long way. Spend 15 minutes, reclining, with a piece of lapis lazuli or sodalite on your third eye. During that time, bring up pleasant visual memories - a beautiful sunrise or sunset, the first robin of spring, a dear friend or family member, your favorite pet, fluffy white clouds in a clear blue sky, snow capped mountains, whatever mental image brings you joy. Don't force it, just allow it to appear. Then treat the muscles around the 3rd eye to a gentle massage. Take good care of your 3rd eye and it will reward you with insights that will assist you in making choices in your life that are for your highest good.

Today's Comment: The higher perspective always says that out of any situation only good can come. We humans tend to look at the hurts and frustrations that occur to us and around us, and we focus on those. And of course we know that whatever we focus on, we co-create more of the same....ie more experiences of hurt and frustration. Today, no matter what happens, think to yourself, "Out of this situation, only good can come." You will effect the course of your day by doing this. Instead of focusing on the bad that has happened, focus on the good that is coming, and the good in the moment. The good in the moment allows you to vibrate at a higher rate. When you vibrate at a higher rate, it's easier to view all situations from that higher perspective.

Today's Comment: Gary Renard and don Miguel Ruiz are two of my favorite teachers/authors of esoteric wisdom. Intellectually, I can begin to understand how everything is a dream. I can strive to take nothing personally. I can admire what Jesus said on the cross, "Forgiven them, Father, for they know not what they do." Am I, personally, there yet? Hell, no! However, the more I work with this card, the better I understand what Renard and Ruiz are saying. Each one of us is the star in our personal story. We tell it in first person style, where everything is from our point of view. We tell the story from our own perspective.
What someone else says about you is from his or her story. Either you like the story or you don't. If you don't like it, quit reading that book! In simple terms, this is unconditional forgiveness. Put that book down, quit giving it your energy. Work instead on creating your own story. Perhaps the next chapter in your book (life) will be about how your main character rose above any adversity and became more like Jesus.

Today's Comment: We've all had situations in our lives that seemed unfair, scary, or at the very least challenging. I was let go from a job I loved once. At the time it occurred and for months afterward I was hurt, angry, frustrated, fearful. Anything but grateful. As I look at the situation now, how could I be anything but grateful. There was a divine plan at work. God and the angels knew that I would be happier without the stress of a job. They knew I would want to be able to be with my new grandson(s) rather than working for someone else. There is a blessing in every moment of life, and it is always part of the divine plan for your perfect life. Just trust!

Today's Comment: Using oracle cards alone is not practical. You must use your intuition in conjunction with the cards to determine any significant meaning. This card can be interpreted in a number of different ways, depending on the question posed. For our purposes, the question is in general - what card would best assist my readers today? Maybe you don't have a specific decision to make about a specific topic, but you did read an ad for a class you thought might be interesting. Maybe you been lurking on a discussion message board, a little hesitant to voice your opinion for fear of ridicule or disagreement. This card is saying go ahead - talk with others - as you do, your own opinions and thoughts will continue to develop and become clearer. I have been working on an abundance exercise for publication, and I'm just about ready for it to be released, but it doesn't seem quite finished. This card is telling me that more research (or more editing) is required. I sometimes call this the 'missing puzzle piece' card. Whatever you are creating in your life, if your intuition tells you it is not quite finished - go looking for that missing piece. It may be hiding in plain sight - you just have to look for it.

Today's Comment: As I have said before, I don't like drawing this card - mostly because I'm not sure how it applies to you or to me specifically. In fact, I usually just put it back and draw again. Today, for me, it could mean 'No' I shouldn't write that article on Preposterousness of Striving To Be Sensitive. It could mean 'No' I don't need that second cup of coffee. It could mean 'No' now is not the time to clean. Oh who knows what this no means today? But then, usually I don't draw a card for those types of questions. I'll write the article because I'm creative - but no I probably won't publish it. I'll have the second cup of coffee and no I won't feel guilty about it. Yes to the no, now is not the time to clean. It's Saturday for crying out loud.

If in the course of my day, however, I need to make a decision about something - I will remember this card, acknowledging that although I do have free will to do whatever, there are no coincidences, and I drew this card for a reason.

Today's Comment: Have you ever had one of those thoughts come to you out of the blue, and you think, "Wow, where did that come from?" I had one the other day that goes something like this: "I will no longer let someone else's opinion of me be more powerful that my own opinion of myself. I am a Divine Child of God, perfect in every way - just as I am!"

I once had a spiritual teacher ask me how I was, and I responded saying I was perfect. This teacher said, "Wow - that's a little arrogant, isn't it?" And I was left pondering if there was something wrong with me. It took a split second, but I came to the conclusion there wasn't. I may make mistakes in my life, but I knew the truth about myself. I believed that God thought I was perfect - because God knows nothing but perfection and love.

Don't worry what anyone else believes about you. You believe in yourself - that's all that counts!

Today's Comment: Today is a trust your gut day. As an experiment, just for today, to see what happens, trust your initial gut reaction when making decisions. Maybe it is to take an alternate route to work. Maybe it is to answer (or not answer) your phone. Maybe it is a gut reaction about a future plan. Do your best not to second guess your first initial thought. Practice, practice, practice. And you will find yourself at a point very soon when you have the faith in your gut (clairasentience). For NCIS fans - it's what Gibbs does. He wouldn't calling it tuning into his clairsentience, but that is was it is. A rose is a rose is a rose.

Today's Comment: I've been thinking recently about competition vs creativity. Competition is a root (first) chakra issue - the idea of there not being enough to go around. When your root chakra is clear, it also allows your sacral (second) chakra to operate more smoothly - bringing your creative power to the forefront. We live in an abundant universe, and Source Energy/God will provide for all our needs. Focus on being your own unique creative being today. If you need a boost, take a few moments to lay down and relax with a piece of amber or carnelian on/near your navel.

Today's Comment: Affirmations are not just about the words you use, but also about the emotions behind the words. If you are working with a simple affirmation such as, " I am prosperous" but everytime you stop to take a breath, you are thinking something like "I don't have a job" or "I can't pay my bills" - the process becomes a bit of a wash. I'm left brained enough that I believe that two positive affirmations will cancel out one negative affirmation. However, would it not just be better to boost the power of the positive affirmation by not thinking the negative one to start out with? Yes, I know, sometimes hard to do, but trust me, it can be done.

And it's easier than you think. All you need is one wonderful memory to raise your emotional vibration. Some of my favorites include my first golden retriever puppy who got ahold of my keys and ran circles around 3 adults - none of us could catch him so we just sat down and laughed; my 16th birthday when I got home from school to find a phone line installed in my room; the birth of my grandson.

Raising your emotional vibration to one of joy will add a power boost to your affirmations. Give it a try today!

Today's Comment: Wallace Wattles, in his book "The Science of Getting Rich" talks about always giving a client more in 'use' value than you recieve from the client in 'cash' value. I really had to explore this idea to understand the meaning. You remember the proverb "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." This card is saying something similar. If service (be it teaching, helping, or providing a item) is the priority, and not the exchange of money,both you and your client will always get more in the long run than you receive. Mr Wattles created a book which sells for about $7. By applying the principles he discusses in his book, you will find that you will earn back that $7 very easily and much more. Mr Wattles did not write the book so he could get your $7. He wrote the book because he had information (a service) to share that is of potential benefit to anyone who reads it.

Open your door to giving and receiving by knowing that service does not mean waiting on someone hand and foot, or providing something for free. An energy exchange of some sort (payment, bartering, tithing of talent) occurs. Let it be a positive exchange.

Today's Comment: Have you ever been thinking about someone, and then out of the blue, that person calls or you run into him/her at a restaurant? That is in part how the Law of Attraction and our thoughts connect. So if you don't want to run into that old boyfriend don't be thinking about him. It's a bit like a bug bite - the more you scratch it, the worse it itches. Leave it alone, and it goes away. Pass by those thoughts of unpleasant experiences and practice daydreaming about something wonderful instead!

Today's Comment: Want to know a secret? I hate speaking in public. I love meeting people and sharing information, but I hate being "the speaker" or "the expert". So much pressure to perform. It gives me shivers. I know I'm not alone as I've heard and read about many authors and workshop leaders that also feel the same way. However, what we have to share with the attendees is good information. Ultimately we do it because if what we have to share helps only one person, it is so worth the anxiety or nervousness we feel ahead of time.

Today, I am going to speak to Joan Ranquet's Animal Communication class about using a pendulum in their work. Tuning into my solar plexus chakra I call on the Ascended Master Moses - who also had issues about speaking in public. He stepped into his power and overcame those issues, and I can as well. I'll focus on the good parts of my brief talk today. I love animals. I love working with pendulums. The class is held on Joan's farm - so jeans are the outfit of the day. I'll get to meet some new people. It's not far to travel. The sun is out. Life is good.

Friday April 9th - Use Your Clairaudient Skills

The Card Says: Clairaudient means clear hearing. These messages may sound like a whispering in your ear or the sound of your voice inside your head. It may be a memory of a conversation or something you heard on the radio or RV. What messages are you hearing regarding this situation?

Today's Comment: In cartoons, you will sometimes see a character thinking hard, trying to make a decision. The artists will depict an angel over one shoulder, and the devil over the other, each presenting their own advice and suggestions. Clairaudience is a bit like that, except that you do not hear both voices simultaneously. Your Higher Self (the voice of the angel) only speaks in loving, encouraging terms. The ego (the voice of the 'devil' - that part of you that sees yourself separate from God) will be talking in terms of fear, lack, limitation, and "less than". When you tune into messages or 'inner guidance' that comes in the form of words being spoken or whispered, take note of the energy or vibration that those words create. Are they loving and encouraging, even when they urge caution? Or are the words invoking a reaction of fear or anxiety? If it is the former (love based), pay attention. If it is the latter (fear based), brush that little devil off your shoulder, and ask your angels and Higher Self to speak up - to make that loving message so perfectly clear than you can not possibility mistake its meaning for anything else.

Today's Comment: You know the song about dem bones - the knee bone's connected to the chin bone, the chin bone's connected to the ankle bone, etc. Well, the same can be said of the chakras. The chakras are all connected energetically. What effects one, can effect another. If your solar plexus chakra - the chakra associated with confidence and personal empowerment - is muddy and not operating at 100%, energy of all the other chakras can be affected. Think about it - when you are not feeling confident and sure of yourself, can you speak your truth (throat chakra) comfortably? If you are not feeling confident and sure of yourself, are you hesitant toward completing/creating a project (sacral chakra). If you are not feeling confident and sure of yourself, do your day to day work habits suffer (root chakra)? If you are not feeling confident and sure of yourself, would you doubt your ability to see clairvoyantly, or trust your intuition (eye and crown chakra)? What about your heart chakra? If you are not confident that you are worthy of love, don't you think your heart chakra may be affected as well?

Today, you may want to call on Archangel Uriel and work with the energy of the color yellow to clear, clean and strength your solar plexus chakra and allow yourself to be a peak performer!

Wednesday April 7th - Unconditional Love

The Card Says: Unconditional love is about honoring the divinity in all mankind. It is about looking at the relationships and situations in our lives in the same way that God looks at and loves us - unconditionally!

Today's Comment: I sometimes wonder if I talk too much about my new grandson Odin and my grandpuppy, Sonny (my daughter's one year old golden retriever). Right now, they are a big part of my activities of daily living. And I love how they show me daily about unconditional love. For instance, Sonny recently developed an ear infection, and a concomitant big old mat behind his ear. He is a big dog, and it takes two of us to wrestle him down to put the ear drops in, and to work on combing out the mat. He doesn't like it one bit, but after it is all over, the drops (mostly) in his ear and progress being made on the mat, we are rewarded with kisses. On some level the dog knows we are doing this horrible, horrible thing (his interpretation) for his overall benefit, and he loves us for it.

I remember hearing the phrase from my parents when I was being held to task for breaking a rule, "I'm doing this for your own good." I didn't really understand how having phone privileges revoked, or being put on restriction, was for my own good. I didn't really understand what unconditional love meant either. Somewhere between infanthood, and adulthood, we go through a period of separation from our human source (parents) -just like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. We are so focused on learning from our mistakes that we do not appreciate our parents ( or parental type figures) looking out for our own good.

I'm now in my 50s. I understand unconditional love as it relates to my kids and my family. I'm putting it to work and learning how it operates for my other relationships too. Today, when someone (family, friend, co-worker, stranger, etc.) does something that pushes a button or makes you mad, do your best to honor the divinity in yourself and the divinity in him/her. Let unconditional love flow as you create an easy solution by invoking the power of unconditional love.

Tuesday April 6th - Peace

The Card Says: Take the time to ground and center yourself. Focus on the heart and high heart chakras, and breathe. Let that peace that surpasses all understanding surround you now.

Today's Comment: My grandson is now 5 weeks old. A good part of our day is spent keeping him content. He is going through a fussy stage, and sometimes the moments of peace are few and far between. My daughter was reading that sometimes babies fuss because they are over stimulated. We have taken to turning off the television, turning down the lights and sometimes just rocking in the nursery or in the swing. Taking these steps, we are rewarded with the look of contentment and peace on the face of a happy baby.

This card comes up about twice a month. I believe it is a reminder to us that peace is ours anytime we want. All it takes is a quiet place, freedom from distractions, some deep breaths, and perhaps some gentle music to calm the inner chatter.

Today, if you feel you need a little peace, turn off the television or the radio, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Allow a blanket of peace to envelope you and keep you safe.

Monday April 5th - Scientific Prayer

Affirm your relationship to The Creator.
Acknowledge the Unity in all things.
State the desire.
Release control of the outcome.
Give thanks in advance and affirm that it is done.

Today's Comment: I've always admired people who can pray off the top of their heads in lovely prose which brings up the thoughts and vibrations of those within hearing distance. I'm not one of those people. I am more comfortable with structure, or simple prayers like, "Dear God - Help!"

I've used Scientific Prayer Treatments for myself and my clients for years now. For the left brained dominant among us, it is a good template to work with. I was recently looking through some books I had packed away, and I found this prayer I wrote tucked away into a book. It is a Scientific Prayer for manifesting wonderful relationships.

"God is Universal Love. One with God, I am one with pure unconditional love and peace. I am centered in the conscious awareness of God's presence in my life. I attract those people and circumstances in my life that are for my highest and best good. The perfect relationships are manifesting for me now. I release those relationships that are no longer for my highest good. I release any fear, belief or misperception that anyone, any thing or any circumstance can keep me from knowing the truth, that perfection is everywhere now. I now receive in consciousness the highest and best for me, and I am filled with gratitude. The Christ Spirit within is expressing as life, love, wisdom and power. I am blessed as I receive. Thank you Father/Mother God. It is done. And so it is."

Experiment with using Scientific Prayer. Create one for your situation, using words that are comfortable and natural for you. Repeat the prayer morning and evening for one month. See what happens.

I don't believe in coincidence. I found this prayer for a reason. I will be using it to bring new relationships to me and release those that no longer contribute to my highest good. Maybe we can compare notes next month?

HAPPY EASTER - LET THE LOVE FLOW

No card drawing today. Whether or not you celebrate the traditional Christian holiday of Easter, my wish for you is to a day filled with love, laughter and light. I was urged this morning to make a list of all the things I loved. I started with people, went on to pets, to food, to movies and books, to vacations, to memories and so on. After a few pages, it seemed to me that my list would be on going forever. I noticed that the vibration of love was all around me, just from writing down these simple things that were near and dear to me. I had a smile on my face, and everything I looked at was crisp and clear. Give it a try. Whether or not the sun is shining in your part of the world, doing this will make the sun (Son) shine in your heart! Happy Easter, everyone.

Today's Comment: The peace that passes all understanding - we've all felt it or observed it at one time or another. A state of tranquility. The freedom of agitation from mind. An inner knowingness that all is well.

I've shared before that I come from a long line of worriers on my dad's side of the family. Even as a child, I watched as my mom took what we would call positive action when confronted with fear. She would use prayers of thanksgiving. I would watch my mom close her eyes and become calm, while my dad paced or wrung his hands. I wasn't big on praying as a kid, but I did recognize that it was more effective than worry.

I was 20 when we took a family vacation to Norway to visit my mom's cousins. We had checked our bags, gone through customs, and were out at the international terminal waiting for the flight to board. My mother, probably after years of living with my dad, did her own last minute check off. We each had a book or magazine, some snacks, our carry-on, and passports. Or rather, 3 of us had our passports. My mom could not find hers. I could see my dad's eyes get real big, and his muscles began to tense up. My mom, on the other hand, closed her eyes, became very calm, smiled and said, "I'll be right back." And off she went.

It was getting close for time to board the plane, my dad had already shifted his thinking to worst case scenario (ie we'll miss the flight, our luggage will be lost forever, etc), when my mom returned with her passport. I was sitting next to her on the flight, and asked where she found it. She told me she had see a very clear picture in her head of the customs desk, and a man's foot standing on her passport. She went back to the desk, and of course, there it was, right under a man's foot. My mom had never believed in psychic visions or clairvoyance. When I commented that she had been given a vision, she said, "No, I was given peace that passes all understanding. And I had faith that all was well."

Whether you call it a psychic experience (outside the sphere of physical science or knowledge) or you call it faith/trust, the peace that passes all understanding is yours for the asking. Know that all is well.

The Card Says: Pay attention to the information coming to you through visions, thoughts, words and feelings. Disregard any ego messages that may try to tell you that you are "making this up". You aren't. This is the way psychic messages come through. Trust what you get.

Today's Comment: I know some people are put off, even fear, the word 'psychic'. The way I am using the word in this context is with the definition of "lying outside the sphere of physical science or knowledge." This is where intution and miracles occur. No one can tell you exactly how intuition works. Or why sometimes you get it, and sometimes you don't. Just as no one can tell you how Jesus turned water into wine, or multiplied the loaves and the fish to feed a crowd. It is outside the parameters of science as we know it. We know trust and faith were the major factors. When you get an intuitive hit, don't spend time trying to figure out how it came to you or why. Just trust what you get.

Thursday April 1st - Divine Timing

Today's Comment: I've been reading Peggy McColl's book 21 Distinctions of Wealth. In it, I have found what is becoming one of my favorite quotes. "Keep in mind that often you won't be able to perceive that the Universe is working with perfect timing until after the fact."

At sometime or another, we've all been asked the question, "If you could change anything that has happened in your life, what would it be?" I've always answered, I wouldn't change anything. All those experiences have made me who I am today. And I've learned from all those experiences...the good, the bad, and what seemingly may be the indifferent. Everything happens for a reason. We don't always see the reason clearly at the time it is happening. The 20/20 vision develops with time.

So how do you deal with it? You trust. But how do you trust. Well, practice makes perfect. When you are frustrated because things aren't occurring according to your time frame, step back and access a memory about another event that turned out much better than you had expected because it did occur at the divine perfect time.

The Creator and the angels want only the best for you. It may be a challenge to get the ducks in a row, but it will be worth it in the end. Do you know what Quack Quack Quack Quack means? It's duck talk for trust in divine timing!

Today's Comment: As many of you know, I am a new first time grandma. It's been years since I have been around babies, so I am reacquainting myself with baby-speak. There is the definite I'm hungry cry, and the I want a dry/clean diaper cry. There is the I'm too hot or I'm too cold cry. There is the I need to burp cry. Sometimes, however, there is the unknown cry. If you've checked all of the above, then you resort to walking and jiggling.....a simple way of removing any blocks to free-flowing energy.

We have minor chakras throughout our bodies. If you are feeling sluggish or humdrum, consider working with Archangel Michael and some divine white light to create a shift. Grab a piece of clear quartz crystal to carry around. Wear that clear quartz pendant or those earrings. And then walk and jiggle a bit - talk a stroll outside or put on some music and dance. Today's Comment: In every workshop or lecture I've attended on the power of manifestation, the teacher or speaker will always stress the point that it is important to be clear and know what it is you want to manifest. That's your job. It's up to the Universe/God to determine the way that it comes to you. I teach the same thing myself. So we will lump the following under the heading of a "Do what I say, not what I do" moment.

My husband and I are planning a garage sale for May and we have been slowly going through all the boxes and items we have in our storage locker. We've had a storage locker for as long as we have lived in Snohomish - over 20 years. With the amount of rent we've paid in storage locker fees, we could have purchased land and put up our own storage building. But I digress....

In our storage locker, we are keeping a number of pieces of antique furniture that came from my mom's house. Over and above the sentimental value, I do love these pieces. They've been in storage since my mother passed away in March 2006. One piece in particular is very tall, and we were unable to fit it in our house. Another piece, a beautiful desk that came from my dad's office, is just huge and we had no where to put it. So, on my manifestation list has been a house that would accomodate these pieces.

I've had a really clear vision about this house and its location. I want an unobstructed sunrise view from a large deck. I want tall ceilings to accomodate the breakfront. I want a home office that is large enough that I can enjoy the desk. The office will have a nice view, and room for me to make lots of piles with my various projects. It will have a huge great room that opens into the large kitchen. Of course, it will have a huge master bedroom and bath with a large soaking tub and separate shower, two sinks. I can see it all in my head.

I've also been really clear that we just can't afford it now. Oops - what was that thought? That recurring thought? What kind of teacher am I? What do I teach about most? Abundance, prosperity and the power of positive thinking. Ah, what happened to practicing what I preach? Betsy makes a big boo-boo. But, I can also make it all better. (Can you tell I'm a new grandma?)

Today, I am reminding myself that it is not up to me to create the circumstances or opportunities through which my abundance comes. My job is to clearly create the desire. I'm on it. I'll leave the how it arrives up to God.

Today's Comment: I used to be a talk radio junkie. This was during a time when local, regional, national and international issues were discussed. At one point, I recognized that my favorite shows were the ones that focused on the silly stuff. More entertainment than political. More funny than serious. The ones that discussed a favorite line from a movie. Which sports star you most admired. Those were the segments I enjoyed. They made me smile. It seemed to me that out of a standard 3 or 4 hour show, at least 1 hour would be devoted to something light.

Then I noticed a change, and it seemed as if I was lucky to hear just 1 hour a week of the entertaining things. I could have switched the radio to music, but I didn't; I continued to listen to things that upset me. Maybe it was world issues or political issues or discussions of child abuse, poverty or other such topic. In retrospect, I can see that when I was listening to those types of heavy stories, my energy was low, my attitude sucked, I was no longer my normal optomistic self.

At the time, someone suggested I just quit listening to talk radio. But I didn't act on the suggestion at the time. Instead, I kept listening, kept getting wrapped up in thoughts and ideas that really didn't interest me, and had the side effect of making me angry and upset all the time. I wish I had known at the time how like begats like. I started going through a period of not so pleasant life experiences.

Do I blame it all on talk radio? Of course not. But I have noticed that when I avoid the shock jock or heavy political talk radio shows, when I avoid the nightly news, when I avoid hearing anything that does not elevate my mood, that my day goes much better and I'm much more pleasant to be around.

We are very lucky here in the Seattle area to have an AM radio station (also streaming live via the internet) - KKNW 1150AM - Alternative Talk Radio. Be kind to your ear chakras. Give them something positive to listen to today!

Friday March 26th - Peace

Today's Comment: I have a new grandson, who will be one month old tomorrow. It's been a long time since I have been around a baby. I had forgotten that when a baby goes off on a crying jag - after you've checked everything you can check (is he hungry, is he wet, does he need to burp), sometimes all you can do is let him cry, doing what you can to soothe him. Some rocking, some gentle shushes, sing a lullaby. Eventually, peace and quiet happens. And you put him down, walk away, and 15 minutes later because there has been no noise, you go check on him to make sure he is breathing, and in doing so, wake him up and the crying starts again.

I laugh at myself when I do that. What is wrong with me that I can't give peace a chance? I think back to the Sandra Bullock movie, Miss Congeniality, where all the beauty pagent contestant want World Peace. The thing is, we can't control the entire world. We can only control our own thoughts and reactions. Do you disrupt peace in your own world? Do you rehash old conflicts? Is it so hard to let sleeping dogs lie?

I'm detecting a 'sleeping' theme here, so let me end with some lyrics from a lullaby:

Today's Thought: Let's admit it. We all have entertained thoughts of lack and limitation from time to time. It's a side effect of our separation from God/Source. I've heard it explained that the Tree of Knowledge, from which Eve took the apple, was where it all began. Adam and Eve had all their needs met and were abundantly provided for. Yet, when told they were not to eat from that particular tree, rather than thinking, "Okay, fine. We've got lots of other good things to eat right here in the garden," Eve entertained the thought that she was missing out on something. Oops - there it is, a lack thought.

It would be real easy to blame Eve for my occasional financial struggles. But, Eve doesn't control my thoughts. I do. No one can change them but me. The first step here is to notice the problem - the offending thought. The next step is to correct it with a positive one.

If you realize that your thoughts of lack and limitation involve specific topics or situation, find a simple correcting phrase. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am love. I am always provided for. Whatever feels right to you. Then use that affirmative phrase whenever those offending thoughts sneak into your consciousness.

It's not a magic wand. Saying I am prosperous may not bring me a winning lottery ticket today, but it's a start on the path of co-creation. If you plan to win the lotto, remember, you first have to buy the ticket. If you want to shift the outcome of your current situation, you must first shift your thoughts.

Today's Comment: This is the second time this card has come up this week. Do you ever wonder why there are so many books on angels or on abundance or on "insert any topic here"? Every person that writes or talks about a topic that is near and dear to the heart has something to offer. I've been collecting books on a specific topic recently in preparation for a writing project. As I look through my notes, I find that much of the information is the same in all the books, but it is just presented in a different manner. Each teacher uses different words, different analogies, different stories to demonstrate the points. Some you will relate to and some you won't. Eventually, you will take all you have learned and form it into 'the' teaching that is uniquely right for you. So in essence, when you are asked to find a teacher or a mentor, look first inside yourself as you truly do have all your own answers.

Today's Comment: When I created the cards, I put in a Yes card and a No card because sometimes in a reading with a specific question, you want that kind of simple, direct answer. When I draw a card for this blog each morning, I have my prayer routine, and then I ask that I draw the perfect card for my readers, and that I have some pearl of wisdom or learning story to go with it.

When I drew the No card this morning, all I could think of was "crap - now what am I going to say?" There is no specific question here. It's not like "no" is a bad word or anything. It has an energy of self protection about it. No, I will not tolerate your treating me like that. No, I won't participate in gossip. No, I'm not going to be an enabler. No, I can't eat another bite. No, I'm not going to drive home after having a few drinks. No, I'm not going to lie to you.

Monday March 22nd - Clear Ear Chakra Issues

Today's Comment: Do you tune in to your clairaudience? That still small voice within? There is no right or wrong answer to the following questions. They are included here to help you determine how your clairaudience sounds. Does your inner voice have volume? Does your inner voice sound like you or someone else? My clairaudience takes the form of words, like I'm reading a book, silently to myself, rather than outloud. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing the old game called Post Office. In the game, one person whispers a few sentences to another, then that person repeats it to the the next person, and so on down the line. When it gets to the last person, often times the meaning of the sentences has changed dramatically, with each person along the way putting their own interpretation or spin on it. It's a silly game and can be quite funny how some of the things turn out.

When you use your clairaudience in a reading, it is important to repeat exactly what you hear or perceive. If you don't, the angels, master teachers or spirit guides with whom you are working will keep talking about the same thing over and over. That can be a way of making a point with the client, but it can also be a way of making sure you, yourself, are getting the message clearly. You can stop and ask the source to be more clear if you have any doubts.

If you think your inner hearing is a bit muddled, or if you have been participating in gossip, or if you have been hearing things you do not like, it may be time to give your ear chakras a cleanse. Just close your eyes, and call on one or more of the following archangels - Michael, Raziel and/or Zadkiel. Ask for help in cleaning and clearing your ear chakras so that you may be a better channel for divine information from Spirit. You may hear a faint buzzing, or feel a temperature change in or around your ears, or you may hear/feel nothing at all. Just know, once you call on the angels for assistance, they will be there to help. You just need to listen.

Today's Comment: Have you ever been so enamored of someone's teaching, only to become disillusioned by their actions? We've all had the experience of political figures that we admired making a wrong decision or taking a regretable action. The same with celebrities (ie Hugh Grant, or more recently Jesse James). And most likely the same is true of a teacher or a mentor, spiritual or otherwise.

The good news is that we do learn from our own mistakes, and we can learn from the mistakes of others as well. And technically, they are not mistakes - they are lessons learned from poor choices. To take those lessons learned and to share them, thereby raising the vibration and consciousness of those that are learning, is an admirable thing.

Here is an adaption of a story that was told in an episode of The West Wing that goes something like this: A man falls down into a pit, and he calls out for help. A minister comes by, and the man says, "Pastor, please help me." The minister says he will pray for the man in the hole. A doctor walks by, and the man again calls out of help. The doctor writes a prescription and tosses it down into the hole. A teacher comes along, and again the man calls out, "Teacher, I'm stuck in this pit, can you help me out please?" And the teacher jumps down in the pit. The man says, "What are you doing? Now we are both stuck down here." The teacher replies, "Yes, but I've been here before, and I know my way out."

Look for a teacher that is willing to share their trials and tribulations, and most importantly how they dealt with them. Look for a teacher that is willing to show you how to get out of the pit. Learn from the parts of his/her story that will help you and discard the rest.

Today's Comment: The Crown Chakra is an energy center that deals with our connection to God (Spirit, the Creator, the Universe, the Great Mystery, whatever term you like to use). An acronym for God is Good Orderly Direction. Sometimes, I wonder if God feels like he's always getting voice mail with me. I always know God answers the phone immediately when I call, but do I respond in a similar fashion - or do I let it go to voice mail. Trying it my way first, and then listening to that divine guidance? Working to keep the crown chakra clear means you will be better able to receive those messages immediately. Today, work toward keeping those channels of communication clear.

Together, we can acheive peace in our awareness, but it must begin with each one of us, individually.

Thursday, March 18th - Move Forward

The Card Says: It is time to get a move on. Face front, take that first step and do not look back. Your time is now. Go for it!

Today's Comment: Moving forward implies that you have a plan to go somewhere or do something. This first 'step' is the thought that leads to action. Do you have an idea or a plan formulating in your brain? Allow it to incubate and take form. That is the first step. The next step in moving forward is to do the best you can in this moment of now. Sometimes that means allowing the thought to continue to form and when you are crystal clear, then allowing that idea to take form.

Notice the card does not say "push forward". If you are finding you have to push to make something happen, you are not allowing your good, your idea, to come to you with grace and ease from Divine Source. Take that first step with confidence, whether the step is an action step or a thinking step. Do not waste your time thinking about the past, whether it is accomplishments or failures. You cannot change what has happened. You cannot improve the past. Think only of now. And if it is time for an action step, move forward with confidence.

Today's Comment: This is the basic prayer formula the Master Teacher Jesus showed us in The Lord's Prayer. I have also heard this template of prayer called the RUCAT formula.

R is for recognition. Ex: Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. (Here we are recognizing God as The Divine Creator-our Creator)

U is for unification. Ex: Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth (in the physical/outer world) as it is in Heaven (the inner/spiritual realm). (Here we are claiming our unity with the Divine.)

C is for the claim. Ex: Give us this day our daily bread (sustenance of all kinds) (Here we are stating the desire without outlining how it will occur.)

A is for acceptance. Ex: Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil. (This means affirming and accepting the Divine Truth and denying our fears.)

T is for Thanksgiving. Ex: For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory forever and ever. (We give thanks in advance, which demonstrates our faith and understanding of divine principles.)

And the final step is the release - the Amen - and so it is - Letting go and letting God.

Today's Comment: This week, I am reading and studying The Science Of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles. In the book, Mr Wattles shares many of the ideas and techniques I've learned from others. One of the things that caught my attention, even though I have heard it said before, is about the difference between focusing on creation vs competition.

I know many people reading this are spiritual teachers, counselors, and writers. And I'm guessing that I'm not the only one who occasionally (or even more than just occasionally) entertains the thought of "What am I doing? There are so many others teaching and writing on this subject. And alot of them do it better than I do. Why would anyone want to come to my class or read my book when they can go see the big name Hay House authors instead?" Now, that is focusing on competition. No one really has anything new to teach on these subjects, but they can take the information and create it (present it) in a new fashion.

If you are pulled to speak about spirituality or write on the subject of manifesting or design a class about angels, do it! Take time to meditate and ask for help in keeping your root chakra clear. This is the energy vortex that is prone to holding thoughts on competition. Keep it clean and spinning freely. You will have your own unique way of presenting ideas...and the Universe is calling you to do that!

When you keep your root chakra clean, your sacral chakra (the energy center for creation) will reap the benefits. God really does want you to do as He did - create, not compete.

Monday, March 15th - There Is More To The Situation

The Card Says: You are viewing the situation from a limited perspective. There is more at play here than you are seeing. Ask God and the Angels to bring you more insight and information about the situation.

Today's Comment: I call this the jigsaw puzzle card. Where the heck is that one last piece of the puzzle? I hear from many people that they are feeling the same way I am. We are on the verge of something big, but it just doesn't feel complete yet. Whether it is a divine timing situation, or needing more people to arrive at the same level so that the world/cosmic consciousness can move to the next dimension, I'm not sure. Perhaps you are having a trying situation in your current life experience. You have taken all the steps you know to take to resolve it, but something just is not clicking. God wants us to be happy. God wants us to be successful. God wants us to have everything we want. When this card comes up, it is sometimes helpful to ask ourselves, how am I limiting myself with regards to this situation? How am I blocking my progress? Call on God and the Angel for help. Ask and you shall receive. Just knock and the door shall be opened so that you may get a clearer view.

Sunday March 14th - Be Clear About Your Desires

Today's Comment: This card always reminds me to really think things through when I am co-creating my life. At least to the best of my ability, anyway. Six years ago, I had 2 things I wanted to accomplish with my physical body. I wrote them down on my list of things to manifest. One was to get my weight down to 120 pounds. The other was to have an eye- lid lift.

I often use the term "easily and effortlessly" when I am attracting things to me. With weight loss, that was a no brainer. I wanted to drop 30 pounds without exercising or counting calories. The lid lift, a cosmetic surgical procedure which would not be covered by my insurance, would require a large bonus from employer, a generous gift from a relative, or chosing the winning lottery numbers.

I was clear that these were the goals I wanted to accomplish, easily and effortlessly, and I did what I was taught about the laws of manifesting. I stated the request, and let it go. I thought about the desires from time to time, but I did not obsess about them. Lo and behold, my weight started coming off. Woo Hoo - this manifestation stuff really works!

Shortly thereafter, I developed a medical condition called Graves Disease. It is basically a series of symptoms that occur due to an over active thyroid gland. One of the things that occur with this disease is weight loss. Ah, it was nice while it lasted. I had also developed swelling behind my eyes which caused my eyes to bug out (think of Lucca Brazi's strangulation scene in The Godfather). To take the swelling down, I was put on a long term course of Prednisone. If you've ever been on Prednisone for a long term, you know that weight gain is a side effect. I gained all the weight I had lost back, plus some. I was not a happy camper. I was mad at everyone from my paternal Grandmother who had also had Graves Disease, to God for letting this happen to me. There was a lot of screaming, yelling, whining, pouting going on as I came to terms with what I had created.

So, long story short here, it's been five and a half years since the initial diagnosis. I am considered in remission as my thyroid levels have returned to normal. The swelling was gone from behind my eyes, but the skin had been so stretched out that it hung down and affected my vision. The treatment for that? You guessed it, a lid lift, which was medically necessary and therefore covered by my insurance.

I stated my desires. I lost weight and I received a lid lift. However, in the future, when I state those desires, not only do I add easily and effortlessly, I also add in a "healthy manner". I am losing weight now, easily and effortlessly, in a healthy manner. I chose foods that nourish my body and enrich my soul. I love to exercise - really, I do, I do, I do. Okay - really, I chose to exercise and I try not to complain about it.

The Card Says: There is a Divine Time for all things under heaven. If you are feeling frustrated because things are not going the way you had planned, this card asks you to relax, let go of the outcome and trust in God's Divine Plan for you.

Today's Comment: I read this line from the always entertaining Bob Tzu (http://www.duhism.com/) - "I'm experiencing Manifrustration - the act of spending hours using visualization, affirmations, and vision boards to attract what I want into my life without getting any results." Oh my goodness, I have so been there! However, I also know that visualizing, affirming, imagining and so on are all valid techniques for co-creating our own dream world. When they don't appear to be working (note the operative word here is "appear"), it is most probably due to Divine Timing.

A prime example would be this. You had wanted to manifest a 2009 Toyota Camry. You had taken all the steps for manifesting this car. You had affirmed it. You had cut out pictures of it. You spent time daydreaming about driving it. You had picked out the color you wanted and the options you desired. You even picked up one of those 'new car smell' fragrance trees. Yet, no matter what you did, you just were not attracting that car into you life. Well....guess what. It was all about Divine Timing. Some of the 2009 Toyota Camrys are undergoing a massive recall for a sticking accelerator.

If you are ever in doubt, remember there is always a reason that manifestations are delayed. When you do the prep work, your divine blessings will come to you at the divinely perfect time that is uniquely right for you. Don't let the manifrustation get to you. Trust in God's Divine Plan.

Today's Comment: I prefer the term Master Teachers to Ascended Masters, primarily because I think some of our great teachers are currently living lives on earth. If the essence of a soul can help you from another dimension (ie ascended/transitioned/residing in heaven), then surely a soul can help you from this dimension as well. By all means, call on Jesus if you need help in believing you can do miracles. Call on Mother Mary if you need help being compassionate. Call on Merlin if you need help remembering your innate magic. But also remember, that there are Master Teachers all around you, teaching you by example how to tune in to and accept your divinity. If you are thinking of someone specific who has inspired you, send them some loving support today.

Today's Comment: This card is reminding us that we are created in the image and likeness of the Divine Creator. Each of us is here on earth for a unique reason. Ideas come to us for a reason. If you feel guided to do something, make the intention to do so. The card does not ask you to through common sense out the window and go off on some wild goose chase. It is asking you, however, to honor your desires, set the intention to achieve/accomplish those desires, and trust in your inner power to be the co-creator in your personal story. Your story may include comedic moments and dramatic moments, but the ultimate goal will be happiness, joy and love. Believe in your innate abilities to be the producer, director and star of your own blockbuster hit!

Today's Thought: I was talking with people over the weekend, and we all commented on how we've been rather lax in our meditations of late, and are getting the message to resume the practice. Meditations come in all forms. There are deep 30-60 minute meditations, recorded meditations/guided imagery, prayers, walking a labyrinth, and more. Recently my favorite has been just being outside. A 20 minute walk, outdoors, alone, does wonders for the soul.

Today's Comment: This card comes up at least once a month. It is our reminder that the only thing we can control about what happens to us or what happens around us is how we react. Even if we are the cause of the perceived hurt, we can't change what occurred. We can only change how we respond. When we get to that place that we know logically, and without a doubt, that out of any of life's experiences, whether we judge them as good or bad, that only good can come, then unconditional forgiveness becomes a cinch. Remind yourself today that you are divine pure love - made in the image and likeness of The Creator. God, The Great Mystery, never has to forgive because God sees only love. Today, be the image God created. Be love.

Today's Comment: I'm a Gemini with Gemini rising. What I want can change in the blink of an eye. That is where I find myself now. One minute I want to write about abundance. The next I want to write mystery fiction. The next I want to write children's stories. It's very frustrating because I feel like I am all over the place. I stopped to pay attention to those thoughts and found the common thread in each - writing. While it is nice to know someone likes what you write or is helped by it, I'd still be writing whether anyone liked it or not.

Okay - so that's one piece of the puzzle. The other thing my thoughts have been focused on lately is income. Redirecting my thoughts, today I will create a perfect affirmation for myself that combines my love of writing and income. I am abundantly happy when I am writing and being paid well for it. And so it is.

Today's Comment: Just ask for help. How simple is that? Why is it we have trouble remembering to take that simple step. My daughter just had a baby. I've told her all you have to do is ask for help. Don't think that you have to do it all by yourself - deal with a new baby, cook. laundry, clean, walk the dog, etc. Just ask for help, whether it is a simple think like taking out the stinky diaper, putting the clothes in the dryer, or even pruning the hydrangea bush. Whatever it is, I'm willing to help her. But if she doesn't ask, I don't know what she wants help with. What I chose to help with, she may not want me to do.

Your angels are wanting to do anything to help you. Angels are bound by the law of free will. They cannot butt in, like a mother can, unless you ask for their help. Whether it is a simple prayer, "Angels, help me now," or a more specific call for help, "Angels, I need help with paying my bills, finding a job and losing weight. Please guide and direct me. Show me the way. Send an earth angel to help me get out of this situation," it doesn't matter, but you have to take the first step and ask for assistance. Next, give thanks in advance, acknowledging that your plea for help as been heard. Then just be open to miracles cleverly disquised as what we call coincidences or luck. It really doesn't matter what you call it - it is help from a divine source - The Creator and The Angels.

Today's Comment: Yesterday I looked up and saw my first Robin of the season. It's always such a pleasant surprise. I know spring is coming because my forsythia is in bloom, the daffodils are coming up, and I am treated to the love display of the flowering plum and flowering cherry trees in my neighbors' yards. Yet, there is something about seeing that robin that just spoke to me. I pulled out Animal Spirit Guides by Steven Farmer and looked up Robin. He says:

"If Robin shows up, it means:

It's time to let go of anything in your life that is outmoded and stagnant and plant the seeds for the new by setting your goals and intentions for the coming year. Let go of your attachment to drama and allow as much joy and laughter into your life as you possibly can."

Monday March 1st - Keep It Simple

Today's Comment: Yesterday I became a grandma for the first time, so I laugh when I read completion of this project (done!) or resolution of this challenge (baby birthed, home and perfect - no challenge here). Sometimes this card comes up when we need the reminder that it is okay to keep things simple and basic. A bowl of cereal, a piece of fruit, some toast with almond butter. Not every day needs to be an Eggs Benedict for breakfast kind of day. If you've had a big life changing moment, or even a small 7lb 2 oz one, it's okay to kick back and just think about doing the minimal basic things. Soon enough, life will seem routine again. Until then, keep it simple and sweet!

Today's Comment: There are those days where we are left scratching our heads, thinking, "I just don't get it" This usually follows a period where we think we are doing exactly what we felt guided to do, but the outcome is not the one we expected. This card just asks us to trust that things happen for a reason. The lesson or reason may not be apparent to us, but nonetheless it does exist. God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent....always present, all knowing and all powerful. The angels, as His assistants, are always there for you as well. There is a perfect storyline and you are the star! You may be in the middle of the book. Trust me, there is a happy ending!

Today's Comment: Oh dear - confusion time. I'm reading The Fifth Agreement by don Miguel Ruiz and don Jose Ruiz. The basis is a bit like The Disappearance Of The Universe by Gary Renard. What we call our 3rd dimension is really a dream. It's all an illusion. It really boggles the mind, trying to understand how that can be.

When something wonderful happens to us, sometimes we say, "Pinch me. I want to make sure I'm not dreaming." Are you old enough to remember this song by Harry Revel and Mack Gordon, sung by Bing Crosby?

"Did you ever see a dream walking?

Well, I did.
Did you ever hear a dream talking?
Well, I did.
Did you have a dream thrill you
With "Will you be mine?"
Oh, it's so grand, and it's too, too divine!

Did you ever see a dream dancing?
Well, I did.
Did a ever see a dream romancing?
Well, I did!
Did you see heaven right in your arms,

When that song popped into my mind this morning, I was surprised to find this intro - one that I didn't remember.

Strange and mystic, eh? Something realistic and weird, huh? Well, yes. I have the "pinch me, this is too good to be true" times, but I've also had the "wake me up from this nightmare times." Today I will do my best to view those nightmare situations from a higher perspective, and change my virtual reality dream into one of unlimited and wonderful possibilities!

Today's Comment: One of my favorite movie scenes is from The Hunt For Red October. The character, Jack Ryan, is watching himself in the mirror while shaving and trying to work out a problem. He discussing the situation with himself and as he talks it out, he has an Ah-Ha moment, which of course is the key to his next step.

We always have two choices. We can stay where we are, or we can move forward. We can never go back, yet many times that is where we put our focus, and in doing so, that is just what keeps us from moving forward.

I found myself in that position recently. Looking back at a situation and reviewing it over and over and over, ad naseum. I decided to take the Jack Ryan approach and started talking the situation out, to myself. Thanks to one of my favorite authors, Don Miguel Ruiz (I'm currently reading The Fifth Agreement) - I was talking to myself about being stuck in the past, and working with the idea of what is real and what isn't, what is fact and what is fiction. The who, what, where and when this situation occurred are facts. However, the 'why' is my fiction. Oh, I had told myself lots of stories about why things happened the way they did. I told them all to myself again and again and again. And then I stopped. My own ah-ha moment. It doesn't matter why. It won't change the outcome of what happened. My only choices are to watch that same movie over and over, and stay stuck. Or to return that movie to the store of unlimited possibilities and find another one to watch. So what's next? Bring it on!

Today's Comment: Saying "cancel-clear-delete" really has no power to take back thoughts that have already been thunk :) However, saying it is a trigger or reminder that we do have control, we do have the power, to create our own experiences and circumstances. It is the same as thinking "oopsy" I didn't mean to have my thoughts wander off in that direction. So get back in the driver's seat, make that U turn, and change your course (thought). We all do it from time to time, and whether we come to the realization ourselves, or someone points it out to us, it doesn't matter. You are in control. Change your thoughts. Change the outcome. It may be a momentary detour, but the goal is to get to your perfect destination!

Tuesday February 23rd - Clear Root Chakra Issues

The Card Says: Work to resolve issues dealing with basic security and survival, such as finances, housing and material needs.

Today's Comment: I think the root chakra is the hardest one to keep clean and clear, and the one that needs cleaning most often. The root chakra is something we deal with on a daily basis, whether we want to or not. A roof over our head, food on the table, money for that latte, income, all of those things talk to us of basic security and survival. Well, maybe not the latte - unless you live for your coffee, like many of us do in the Seattle area.

One of the ways I know my root chakra needs tuning is when I find myself thinking of lack, limitations or just worrying about day to day things. A quick meditation you can do is to imagine Archangel Michael and roto-rooter cleaning tool coming to help. Imagine your root chakra - a circle of brilliant red (or the image of a ceiling fan, a lotus blossom, a faceted crystal - whatever form you like to use), and see that chakra connected to the center of the earth. Some like to visualize a cord of light, a golden ribbon, or my favorite - a bungee cord (keeping me anchored). Allow the loving energy of Mother Earth to to come up the cord, as Michael works to cleanse the chakra and send the guck (worries and fears) to the center of the earth for transmutation. Think of it as flushing your worries down the drain, out of your energy field, so that your lifeline is clear and runny smoothly. There is no blockage to the Source of your supply.

Monday February 22nd - Await The Full Moon For Releasing

Today's Comment: Sunday the 28th will bring another full moon. This is a great time to start thinking about what it is that no longer serves you, and be willing to let it go. This could be a limiting thought or belief. It could be an addiction or a habit. It could be anything that hampers your enthusiasm or hinders your growth.

The Native Americans have referred to the full moon in February as the Opening Buds Moon. For a bud to open, the outer layer (sepal) must stretch and relax to be released, making way for the flower to bloom.

This week, give some thought to how to use the energy of the Opening Buds Moon to blossom unto your full potential.

Today's Comment: I pulled this card and nothing came to me to talk about. More research required? How do you research about research. Yet sometimes the perfect oracle card precede the question. An hour later, I received an email from a friend, who asked a question about product sales. It was a situation that hadn't occurred to me. Ah..more research required would seem to be my answer.

KISS Card for Saturday February 20th - Clear High Heart Chakra Issues

The Card Says: Heal Issues involving Spiritual and Unconditional Love.

Today's Comment: The High Heart chakra deals with energies and feelings related to Universal Love and the Creator/God. Many people were raised with the idea of a vengeful God, and the fear of punishment was instilled at a young age. I know there are churches that still teach that, but really, does that make sense? If God is pure Love, how could God want anything but Love for you? My God is a loving and compassionate God. If you are still struggling with the idea of a Loving God, call on Archangel Uriel to help you understand. Also the Master Teachers Jesus and Mother Mary, as well as Babaji. Spend some time in prayer, and even better if you are laying down with a rose quartz crystal on your upper chest, above the heart and below the throat. When you concentrate on that area, you will just feel the Love of God expanding throughout you and merging with all that is. We can change the planet to a fully loving vibration if we all take the time to clear and clean our High Heart Chakras.

Today's Comment: I've mentioned before that forgiveness is not something you do for another person, but rather it is something you do for yourself. In practicing forgiveness, we are acknowledging that from our limited human perspective, we failed to see the divine perfection in another. Within the 12 Step programs, there is a step that asks you to make a list of people that may have been harmed in some way by your behavior. A great exercise in developing the habit of practicing unconditional forgiveness is to set aside some time each week, and make a list of people or situations where you have not see the divine perfection in those circumstances. Just be willing to recognize that everyone is doing the best they can at any given time. They are experiencing their own learning lessons. Our job is to see their perfection, and in doing so with our 20/20 hindsight, forgive ourselves, unconditionally, for not having that perfect vision the first time around.

Today's Comment: Have you ever noticed that it is harder to remember to stay calm and breathe during the knuckle-head stuff than it is to remember during times to true stress? When you are a full time RVer, like we are, one of the things you watch for, especially during the winter, is to make sure you don't run out of propane. Well, I'm sure you figured it out - that is what happened to us last night. We carry a back up tank for these occasions. And yes, it's happened before, more times that I care to admit, which is why the extra tank. It was in the mid 30s last night, and other than the inconvenience of having to go outside to switch the tank, it really was no big deal. No big deal, except to my mind. I laid awake, tossed and turned, and got very little sleep after 1am. I ran through every worst case scenario I could think of, from exploding propane tanks to electrical power outages (we also have a nice space heater) to the big one - no propane, no electricity, all vehicles out of gas, and my daughter goes into labor. I stopped with all the worse cases, when I realized we all had cell phones and if nothing else, we could call a cab or even 911. Where were my thoughts of peace then? Maybe I should have gotten up and drawn the KISS Card then instead of waiting for daylight. My goal - to remember to remain calm and know that God has my back during the knuckle-head times as well as every other moment of every day.

Tuesday February 16th - Clear Ear Chakra Issues

The Card Says: Work to resolve issues regarding things you have heard in the past and with your clairaudience.

Today's Comment: Apparently, the angels thought I needed an exclamation point there because another card dropped out - Use Your Clairaudient Skills.

Ear chakras and clairaudience have to do with messages we hear, and the energy around those messages. Clearing the ear chakras is more about getting rid of the gooky stuff we have heard and retained, for whatever reason. The time the kid from second grade who called you ugly. The nasty rumor that awful girl in high school started about you. The time a teacher or a boss criticized your work. All that stuff. When we work to let that crap go, then we can really use our clairaudient skills to hear the messages from the Creator, the angels and our master teachers.

Call on Archangels Michael, Raziel and Zadkiel for help in clearing and cleaning your ear chakras, and work with the crystal, pink tourmaline.

One of my favorite visualizations for clearing out the ear chakras is to use a violet colored liquid with properties similar to hydrogen peroxide. Imagine your ear canals filled with the warm liquid that maybe bubbles and tickles, but goes to work by loosening up all the stored gunk, allowing it to float away. Your angels are standing by with a warm towel, to clean up the debris. Now that your ear chakras are clean, they lean forward and whisper a loving message that is uniquely right for you.

Today's Comment: If you find yourself reading the same information over and over and over, there can be two reasons. One, you are a slow learner - ha ha - just kidding. One, there is some aspect of the lesson or information that you have not fully grasped, or two, it is time to move on to something new. With the first example, the material will still interest and excite you. With the second example, the information you are reading repeatedly will feel old and stale. It is the second example that this card addresses. If you looked at the title of this post and thought - YES! - then maybe it is time to do a little exploration. Call on your spiritual guidance council to help you find that perfect mentor or teacher for the next step on your journey.

Today's Comment: Perfect card for today - as it is a New Moon. The energies of the new moon will surround us for the next 8-12 days, so you don't have to sit down and figure it all out today. I have had a number of things floating around in my mind that I think I would like to manifest. I will spend some time today, and over the new few days, getting more clear about how I'd like to create these experiences. Sometimes, you have to think things through. I'd love to be a best selling author, but I don't want to be famous. I wonder how that would look. I know it would start with actually sitting down to write, but I keep getting side tracked on some silly things (Bejewled Blitz) and some important things (preparing for grandbaby #1's arrival). What I'd really like to manifest is a schedule - a basic one - that allows for the unexpected but welcome opportunities that the Universe will undoubtedly bring my way. Use the energies of the new moon to shift into planning mode. Take charge and manifest away!

Saturday February 13th - Keep It Simple

Today's Comment: I have been reading and working with Julia Cameron's book, The Artist's Way. Over and over in the tasks you are asked to just give a spark of an idea to what you'd like to create and then take a simple step toward that goal. One of my goals is to write a series of mystery novels. One of my simple steps is to re-read some of the books of authors I truly enjoy. Unfortunately what has happened is that ego has start to do the whole comparison thing. So to resolve this challenge, today I will not read so much and write a bit more. Pen to paper, fingers to keyboard, just keeping it simple, and doing my thing.

Thursday February 11th - Meditation

The Card Says: Whether you use a guided meditation, self-hypnosis or just spend time quieting the internal chatter, pay attention to the thoughts, sounds, feelings and visions that you receive. These are messages of guidance.

Today's Comment: When I was taking hypnotherapy classes, I would engage in at least 30 minutes of deep meditative trance each day. I had my share of a-ha moments and great awareness of just being. And it was perfect for me at the time, taking me through my busy day. Semi-retirement shifts things and it is easier just to let things happen. Today, I find my meditations take more form in morning prayer and simple reflection while enjoying my first cup of coffee. And throughout the day, I find myself in the midst of a meditative state while I walk along a nearby trail or when I get out my colored pencils and just doodle.

Today's card just asks you to be aware of those thoughts that come to you when you are in a relaxed state, whether it be a deep state of trance or a moment of day dreaming. Pay attention to the guidance and ideas that spring forth.

The Card Says: Are you working on a project or dealing with a situation that doesn't bring you joy? If so, it is time for a change. Find your bliss!

Today's Comment: Dealing with a situation that doesn't bring you joy? We all have at one time or another. Cooking dinner? Doing dishes? Folding laundry? Worrying about the health challenges of your loved ones? Those are some of mine. This card asks us to find complete happiness in those things that aren't at the top of our 'fun' list. Your heart won't sing on its own. It's up to you to provide the melody. Tune into that attitude of gratitude, and raise the vibration of situation. Today I will find the joy in cooking dinner, doing dishes, folding laundry and instead of worrying about my loved ones, I will imagine their bliss.

Tuesday February 9th - Divine Timing

The Card Says: There is a Divine Time for all things under heaven. If you are feeling frustrated because things are not going the way you had planned, this card ask you to relax, let go of the outcome and trust in God's Divine Plan for you.

Today's Comment: I love a schedule, a plan. I like to see it on paper. I like to check things off. There are days I hate this card and just want to whine and snivel and say, "Oh come on, Universe. God, don't you love me? I had this all figured out!" And then there are days that I love the card. It gives me comfort knowing that even though, on the surface, things looks all for naught - they aren't. The timing is just off. When the timing is right, all things will click into place. The schedule will be set, and items can be checked off, one, two, three. All is good in the world.
